State and UT wise Professional Tax

Another tax Is Profession tax which is levied and collected by the state governments in India. It is a direct tax. Any salaried employee or any professional in the profession like lawyer, doctor, chartered accountant, company secretary etc. are required to pay professional tax. Different states have different rates and adopting different methods of collection. In India, professional tax is imposed every month. Not all the states / UT in India Impose Professional Tax.
